A good variety of waders on the falling tide at Mai Po yesterday.

Black-tailed Godwit

Autumn migration is never as gripping as spring, but at Mai Po, there's always something to look at !


  1. A great collection of shorebirds. There were a lot returned to Werribee (Melbourne) including some Curlew Sandpipers with quite a lot of red still showing.

  2. Lovely shots especially in flight.
    Great sightings, unfortunately I live to far from a shore line... :(
    It's great to discover what you've got on your side of the planet!

  3. You are lucky to have Mai Po. My home state of Penang is running out of places to watch waders. Splendid shots as usual.
