This bird, like some of the other terns, appeared to be feeding on the many “Planthoppers” (Ricania sp.) around at this time of the year.

Finally, not a Tern at all ! Some Yellow Bitterns breed in HK - this
might be one of them ....
Great pictures, John. I have no doubt that you could give master classes on capturing birds in flight!
ReplyDeleteHear, hear! I can get the birds into the viewfinder (sometimes) but seldom get them into focus.
ReplyDeleteMiss the birds, but not the view across the water! Do love the in-flight pics though, especially the Yellow Bittern.
